Practical Interactive Workshop

This workshop has been created to benefit students, engineers, trainers, paint and equipment suppliers and contractors personnel and includes a number of theoretical and practical exercises.

Strongly recommended for ICorr Level 1 students with limited practical experience

    Basic Corrosion
    Volume Solids, Paint Calculation, Spreading
    Rates and Wastage
    Pre-surface preparation
    Visual Standards (ISO, SSPC, NACE etc)

    Demonstrations of equipment to measure the following:
    1. Ambient Conditions
    2. Surface Profile
    3. Wet Film Thickness
    4. Dry Film Thickness
    5. Holiday Detection
    6. Assessment of Dust
    7. Soluble Salt Contamination
    8. Adhesion Testing
    9. Coating and Application Defects
    10. Abrasive Types
